The Opportunity

About Us

MaintainX is the world's leading mobile-first maintenance and operations platform for industrial and frontline environments. We're a modern IoT-enabled cloud-based tool for reliability, safety, and operations on physical equipment and facilities. Founded in 2018, we've grown to 640+ employees by solving a massive problem: frontline professionals were stuck using clipboards, paper, and outdated CMMS tools (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems — the legacy software category for managing equipment maintenance).

Think of us as "Asana for manufacturing" — we're bringing modern, mobile-first workflows to an industry that's been stuck with clipboards and legacy software.

Our platform helps teams manage work orders, assets, parts inventory, and purchase orders — reducing unplanned downtime and boosting production capacity. We've won by being much easier to use than legacy competitors, particularly on mobile where technicians actually work.

While sales drives most mid-market+ deals, product-led adoption remains core to our success. This role will make the product so easy to use that customers achieve value quickly — whether they're self-serve or sales-assisted. This is a multi-year strategic initiative with executive visibility, helping MaintainX scale from an ops-driven to product-led adoption model.

Highlights

Hypergrowth Trajectory

Employee count doubled from ~320 to 640+ in one year. Never had a layoff.

Strong Product-Market Fit

Massive Growth Opportunity

Own activation, adoption and expansion — starting with 3-4 engineers and scaling to multiple squads. The right person could grow into leading the entire growth pillar.

Candidate

Is This You?

A strong generalist with design sensibility. Growth experience is a plus but not required. Ideal backgrounds include prosumer or design-forward B2B companies. Experience with onboarding and adoption at scale, particularly for enterprise customers.

Your Mission

Shape MaintainX's enterprise adoption strategy by driving activation, onboarding, and expansion initiatives that shorten time-to-value and create systematic upsell pathways for 12K+ customers.

What you'll get to do

  • Build Onboarding & Data Enablement: Create tools for seamless data import and enrichment (automated importers, AI metadata filling, industry templates). Critical for non-tech-savvy users migrating from spreadsheets.
  • Drive Setup & Implementation at Scale: Design guided onboarding flows, AI-assisted configuration, and in-product training to increase seat utilization and feature adoption.
  • Create Expansion Engine: Build product-led expansion triggers, modular packaging, and in-app upgrade pathways. Transform manual expansion (currently handled by Customer Success Managers) into self-serve motions to increase seat expansion.
  • Own Mid-Funnel Excellence: Focus on adoption and engagement for existing customers, not just acquisition. Build core capabilities that touch all customers, not just A/B testing onboarding screens.
  • Own Internal Enablement: Work with a 10-person enablement engineering team building tools for implementation consultants, account managers, and CSMs. Create a holistic adoption experience spanning both customer-facing product and internal operations.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ Years PM Experience: B2B SaaS helpful but not required. Strong generalists from consumer or prosumer companies welcome.
  • Onboarding & Adoption Excellence: Build intuitive onboarding that reduces time-to-value for enterprise customers. Experience interfacing with go-to-market teams.
  • Data-Driven Experimentation: Strong analytical skills to define KPIs (time-to-value, adoption depth, expansion revenue) with deep experience in rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and results analysis.
  • Design Sensibility: Exceptional UX/UI intuition critical for maintaining usability as product becomes more sophisticated. Must have a really good eye for design.
  • Scrappy Yet Strategic: Balance fast execution with building scalable frameworks. Make big bets when needed, not just optimizations.
  • Leadership & Influence: Inspire teams around clear vision and roadmap. Build relationships and collaborate effectively from executives to ICs.
  • Pattern Recognition: Apply existing solutions to MaintainX-specific problems without reinventing the wheel.

Bonus Points

  • Workflow SaaS Background: Products involving complex workflows, multi-platform surfaces, non-tech-savvy users.
  • Scaling Expertise: Startup-to-scale experience with enterprise-grade products.
  • Commercial Mindset: Connect product decisions to revenue impact.
  • Monetization Experience: Track record building monetization experiences beyond just activation.
