The Opportunity

About Us

Twingate is a modern cybersecurity platform that replaces traditional VPNs with a zero trust access solution. It enables secure, identity-based access for employees, services, and eventually AI agents, without exposing networks or increasing risk. Customers deploy globally in as little as 15 minutes with no hardware required.

Founded in 2019, Twingate was born from the frustration that despite 30 years of technology evolution, the access control model most companies rely on remains archaic. Passwords and VPNs are a major source of breaches and a pain point for admins and users alike. Twingate's mission is to make Zero Trust principles easy, designed with the belief that end-users are partners, not adversaries, in keeping organizations safe.

The product serves a technical buyer persona: engineering managers, DevOps engineers, and security teams who need to secure access to cloud, SaaS, and on-prem resources for distributed workforces. Twingate integrates with identity providers like Okta, supports Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Kubernetes operator), and has expanded into browser security and internet security (DNS filtering).

Today the product covers identity for humans and service accounts. The next frontier is securing access for AI agents, and Twingate is positioning to be the access layer for that. The product is working, customers are retaining, and the company is growing 50%+ YoY. It's still pre-IPO and small enough that a new senior hire shapes the trajectory.

Candidate

Is This You?

You're a product manager who can go broad and deep on highly technical products. You combine strong PM fundamentals with real technical fluency in areas like DevOps, security, or infrastructure tooling. You partner with engineers on technical decisions and can hold your own with the CTO on architecture, protocols, and system design.

Your Mission

Own the privilege access product and take it from early traction to scale. This product launched last year and sits at the application layer (L7), going beyond Twingate's core network layer (L4) product. It provides deeper controls for resources like Kubernetes clusters and SSH servers. It's a new and growing space where nobody has won yet, and your job is to drive significant adoption and accelerate growth.

What you'll get to do

  • Set the Vision: Define and own the 6-12 month roadmap for privilege access. Understand the difference between L4 and L7 access controls, how Kubernetes operators work, and what it takes to secure privilege access at scale.
  • Drive Adoption: Work directly with enterprise customers and admins to understand their workflows, pain points, and what would make them deploy this across their entire organization.
  • Go Deep Technically: Partner with engineering on technical architecture decisions around SSH, Kubernetes access controls, network protocols, and application-layer security.
  • Own the Business Outcome: Work with go-to-market, marketing, and sales to drive adoption and revenue. This is building a business within a business.

What we're looking for

  • 5-7 Years PM Experience: In B2B SaaS, ideally with technical products serving engineering or DevOps personas.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to understand and have informed perspectives on technical decisions. Comfortable with networking, security, or DevOps concepts. You don't need to code, but you need to partner deeply with engineering.
  • First Principles Thinker: You synthesize customer input into something better than what they asked for, rather than just building the feature list.
  • Customer-Facing: Comfortable representing the product to enterprise customers and prospects. Can articulate a compelling vision.
  • Generalist Mindset: Able to work across platforms, frontend and backend, and ramp quickly on new technical areas.

Bonus Points

  • Security and networking experience (CASB/DLP, DNS, zero trust, MDM/EDR)
  • DevOps tooling experience (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with mid-size and enterprise customers
  • Home lab tinkerer who runs their own network security setup
